Father Daughter Campout

FBC Father Daughter Campout

March 8-9
Friday 4:00pm (or as soon as you’re available) - Saturday 12:00pm
Bates Canyon Campground off of Hwy 166 (Google Maps)
It is just over a 1 hour drive from Santa Maria.
The final 2 miles are on a dirt road, but any vehicle should be able to make it.

There is no cost.
The church will provide the two meals and fee for each vehicle.
There is a carpool & needed item signup link at the bottom of this page.

We have activities planned from 5:00pm on Friday through 10:45am on Saturday. On Friday it would be good if you could arrive between 4:00 and 5:00, but if you need to arrive later that is totally fine. We should be back in Santa Maria by noon on Saturday. This will largely be a time of relaxation (and a little competition) where we can act like boys and have some fun. We will also have a more serious time of discussion Friday night and a devotional on Saturday morning. For dinner we will have nachos! For breakfast on Saturday we will have breakfast burritos with coffee and hot chocolate.

This is a remote campground that is usually empty. There is a pit toilet, and that is the only facility there. There is no water. Each person will need to bring a sleeping bag and whatever they would like to sleep in or on.

You must let me know if you are coming so we can be prepared. Below is a link to coordinate rides there, signup to help and volunteer to bring a small item like drinks, marshmallows or jugs of water. Each person should bring the following items: Warm clothes, beanie, pillow, sleeping bag, sleeping pad / cot / air mattress, toiletries, Bible or Bible app, flashlight or headlamp and comfortable beach/camp chair. There will be an optional hike that is short and challenging. If there is something you don't have, please let me know, and I'll see if I can help.

Please let me know if you would like to join us!
