The mission of First Baptist Church is to reach our world with the gospel of Jesus Christ by discipling Christians to proclaim and live their faith.
We are an independent Baptist church located in California's central coast. Here you will find practical Bible teaching and preaching, exciting youth and children's ministries, helpful adult classes, and an inspiring emphasis on outreach and missions.
At First Baptist Church, you will find a spirit of excitement. We have seen many accept Christ as their personal Savior, and many others have had their hearts revived for a closer walk with God. Great things are happening at First Baptist every day!
FBC EXISTS FOR SIX MAIN PURPOSES:
1) EXALTATION
For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen. Romans 11:36
2) EDIFICATION
Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. 1 Timothy 4:13
3) EQUIPPING
As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 1 Peter 4:10
4) EVANGELISM
Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:15-16
5) ENCOURAGEMENT
Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
6) EFFECTIVENESS
For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 1:8
